Federico Chiesa looks almost certain to leave Liverpool this summer after the preseason tour snub, and AC Milan remain a potential landing spot.
As Calciomercato.com report, Chiesa has not been called up for Liverpool’s tour of Asia, during which they will face Milan at the weekend. That means he is out of their plans, and the winger himself is ‘ready for a change of scenery’.
Milan an option?
Chiesa’s adventure with the Reds could end after just one season, which provided little excitement personally despite the Premier League title win. As a reminder, he arrived at Anfield last summer from Juventus for €12m plus €3m in bonuses, making just 14 appearances and scoring twice.
Napoli have been mentioned, but at present they have Matteo Politano, David Neres and Noa Lang for the wings, while they seem to be focusing on Dan Ndoye and Ademola Lookman if they are to sign another forward.

Roma are expected to use a 3-4-2-1 and Chiesa could fit as one of the two behind the striker, Inter will use the same system so they remain in the running if Lookman doesn’t join, while a return to Juventus seems impossible.
Therefore, Chiesa could be an intriguing and potentially affordable wildcard for Milan, where he would reunite with Massimiliano Allegri. The Italian coached him during his time at Juventus between 2021 and 2024.
Allegri would have no trouble finding a place for him, using him in rotation with Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze. If Noah Okafor were to leave (or potentially Chukwueze), then the Rossoneri could really accelerate with their interest already logged.
