CM: Maignan to sign renewal imminently with agreement reached in full – the details

Mike Maignan is expected to sign his contract renewal in the coming days, with a full agreement now virtually sealed.

According to Calciomercato.com, the announcement of Maignan’s extension is ‘around the corner’. Milan have reached the finish line after a long and laborious negotiation, and all that remains to be done is schedule the meeting where the signatures arrive.

Massimiliano Allegri’s arrival and the appointment of Claudio Filippi as goalkeeping coach have been crucial in reviving the French goalkeeper’s desire to play for Milan and commit his future, they add.

The terms

The report adds that Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani have also overcome (not without difficulty) the final hurdle regarding the commissions to be paid to Jonathan Kebe, Maignan’s agent, which will definitely be less than €10 million.

This verbal agreement will be finalised in a contract signed at Casa Milan in the coming days. The agreement is on the basis of a five-year contract worth €5.5m net per season, plus a potential €1.5m in bonuses.
