AC Milan are set to make a nice amount, thanks to the decision to play a game in Australia against Como, which was allowed yesterday.
There has been a lot of talk about a possible fixture away from Italy, and as you’d expect, there has been a lot of criticism. However, the game can go ahead Down Under, thanks to a decision from UEFA which arrived yesterday.
Both Milan and Barcelona can host games away from their home stadium due to the circumstances they face. However, they have chosen to go abroad, rather than play the game anywhere else in the country.
Milan-Como: The money side
There will be a financial reward for doing so, though. According to Calciomercato.com, Serie A will earn €12 million just for the event taking place, after relevant costs, the net revenue is expected to be around €8-9m.

From this, the largest amount will go to the ‘home’ team, the Rossoneri, and then Como. Interestingly, the rest of the purse for the game will be shared across the other 18 teams in the league for voting in favour of the idea.
Exact revenues that will go to each team are not available currently. Regardless of that, it seems slightly baffling that everyone eats in this situation.
