CM: Milan confident regarding Pulisic renewal despite recent stall – the situation

5 hours ago 3

AC Milan are hoping to resolve the long-term future of Christian Pulisic in the coming weeks, and they are confident they will.

As Calciomercato.com write, Pulisic has become one of Milan’s cornerstones since he arrived from Chelsea, but he signed a four-year deal in 2023 and thus at the end of the season he will be 12 months from the expiry of his deal.

Optimism despite stall

Milan would like to secure the USA international with a contract extension and contractual adjustments that reflect his influence. Contacts have been made, and the club’s desire is clear, but negotiations are currently stalled.

There’s been no break-up in sight and no tension, but no concrete steps toward a final conclusion. Pulisic currently earns €4m net, but with a lower tax burden (€5.24m gross) thanks to the Growth Decree.

Pulisic, for his part, is happy in Milan and has repeatedly reiterated that he considers this the right club at the right time. A few months ago, everything seemed ready for him to sign a contract extension until 2029, but then the American international asked for time to evaluate.

With interest from foreign clubs always on the alert (Pulisic turned down a lucrative offer from Al Nassr this summer), Milan do not want to risk letting things run on too long. Locking down Pulisic means strengthening the present and securing his future, but a mutually beneficial agreement is needed.

Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani are confident they will be able to agree a deal that will see the ex-Chelsea man remain for many more years. The plan is to reconnect with his agent during the next international break, scheduled for early October, with a ‘healthy dose of confidence’.
