Moncada mission Milan striker

Past Santiago Gimenez, AC Milan do not have anyone in their striker ranks, leading Massimiliano Allegri to ask for reinforcements.

The need for a new No. 9 comes in two ways: primarily, Milan do not have the coverage to lead the line that is needed, then Gimenez is not seen as a perfect fit for Allegri, who is asking for a top striker.

Francesco Camarda is departing, whilst Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham have already left. Effectively, the list of strikers starts and stops with Gimenez. So, investment is needed in the region.

Moncada’s mission

Right now, as Calciomercato.com reports, there is a list of five targets looked at by the Rossoneri. Mateo Retegui is seemingly the preference, and there could be movement if he does not move to Al-Qadsiah.

Following him, Darwin Nunez, Dusan Vlahovic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Lorenzo Lucca are being tracked by Milan. Though the latter three profiles have issues, whether that be to do with value or their own situations.

Alternatively, a new name could come forward for the Rossoneri. The report states that Geoffrey Moncada has been tasked with working on profiles from France and the Netherlands, hoping to propose a new idea that would fit the budget and requirements.
