AC Milan have made new contact regarding Victor Boniface, with Igli Tare studying the terms of the deal with Bayer Leverkusen.
Milan’s summer transfer window continues in the background while Massimiliano Allegri works with the team at Milanello. Tare is working to complete the squad available to the new coach, and it is no secret that the desire is there to sign a new striker to join Santiago Gimenez.
Boniface talks held
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan want a second centre-forward with different – yet complementary – characteristics compared to Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican striker will be evaluated by Allegri during his training camp, after he returns from the Gold Cup triumph in the USA.
The idea of acquiring the best opportunity on the market for that position and having a brand-new No.9 remains on the cards. Mateo Retegui has been discussed, but the Capocannoniere winner is heading to Saudi Arabia in a mega deal Milan could not match.

There are also ongoing discussions and internal evaluations of players like Jean-Philippe Mateta, Nicolas Jackson, Darwin Nunez and Dusan Vlahovic, but in the last few hours a different option seems to be gaining traction.
There have been new contacts between Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and the entourage of Victor Boniface. These talks follow the initial exploratory discussions with his agents to gauge his possible willingness to move to Italy in recent days.
The Rossoneri know the player well, having followed him throughout his development, and are aware that a significant investment will be needed to snatch him from the Bundesliga side. The matter will most likely be examined in depth in August, but Igli Tare is already studying the terms of the deal.
