The January mercato is creeping up on us, and AC Milan are already considering another defensive signing, it seems.
Whilst the summer only ended a short time ago, the winter mercato offers another chance to finalise squads, and Milan are looking to take that chance. Reports recently have suggested that Massimiliano Allegri wants another option, and the club could provide one.
Allegri asks for more
A few days ago, Tuttosport reported that Mario Gila was a name of interest for January, with Igli Tare hoping to sign the Spaniard again. Lazio may ask for a high price, though, which could halt any chances of that happening.
According to Calciomercato.com, though, he remains an option, especially with only a year left on his contract next summer and Lazio’s financial position not being a strong one. However, he is not the only candidate.

Joe Gomez remains a name of high interest, but Arne Slot’s confidence in Giovanni Leoni (and his recovery) will be key to any move happening. Nevertheless, the Englishman could push for a move with minutes being limited so far.
Finally, Thomas Kristensen remains in the foreground for the Rossoneri. In the game against Udinese, Diavolo scouts updated their already existing report on him, and he could represent good value in January, with a price tag of only €15 million.
