Yet another report has claimed that Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be coming towards the end of his time as an AC Milan player.
Loftus-Cheek was a starter yesterday against Napoli in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final defeat, but it seems he has a future that is still very much up in the air. Calciomercato.com report that the Englishman’s exit cannot be ruled out.

It starts from a basic premise: Loftus-Cheek isn’t completely shutting off to the idea of leaving Milan in the January transfer window, if he can manage to find an opportunity that could guarantee him more playing time.
The former Chelsea man has actually played a lot in this first half of the season, making 17 appearances and scoring just one goal in the second round against Lecce. However, the 29-year-old is confident he can make Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad, but he needs to be an established starter.

Loftus-Cheek’s contract with Milan expires in July 2027, and negotiations for a renewal have not yet begun. This makes January a good month to try to recoup the nearly €20m investment the Rossoneri made to acquire him from Chelsea.
In recent hours, there have been rumours of interest from the Premier League that would take him back to his homeland. Another team that are sniffing around are Lazio, led by his mentor Maurizio Sarri.
