The AC Milan management remain convinced by Zion Suzuki having watched him first-hand on Saturday, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com recall, it was a four-goal thriller at the Stadio Tardini between Parma and Milan, with the home side battling from two goals down to earn a draw. Mike Maignan and Suzuki were not satisfied with their individual performances, as both feel they could have done better.

Milan have no doubts

Despite not being satisfied, it seems that Milan were. Suzuki is establishing himself as one of the most exciting prospects in the world of goalkeeping thanks to his extraordinary physical and athletic ability, and a certain explosiveness between the posts.

He has been targeted by Bayern Munich, several Premier League clubs, and Milan. He let in two goals and could have maybe done better with Alexis Saelemaekers’ opener, but Geoffrey Moncada, Igli Tare and Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘remain convinced’ his is the ‘right player’ to potentially replace Maignan.

Suzuki has significant and obvious room for improvement. For example, he must work on his concentration throughout the 90 minutes of play, and his mind games with Leao didn’t work. Yet, the Rossoneri are interested and will follow him this season, though they are considering other options too.

To bring Suzuki to Italy from Urawa Red Diamonds last year, Parma invested €7.5m, with a potential additional €2.5m in bonuses tied to personal and team objectives. The agreement also includes a 10% resale clause. Now, Parma would want at least €25m to even consider selling the 23-year-old.
