Despite rejigging the midfield in the summer, it seems AC Milan are still interested in adding to the area in the mercato.
Luka Modric, Adrien Rabiot, Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari all joined Milan last summer, and there is a case to be made about the Rossoneri having one of the best midfields in Italy. Perhaps, even, the best.
However, it seems the club may want to add further reinforcements to the area. Given the overreliance on Luka Modric and the slimness of the department after an injury, it makes sense that they may return to a previous interest.
Bargain price
As Calciomercato.com writes, Morten Frendrup was a target in the summer, but the Diavolo did not seal a deal – nor did Napoli, Inter or Roma, who were also in the market for a player like him. So, he remains at Genoa.

It may not be for long, though, with reports suggesting that Inter and Roma are considering making another attempt in the January mercato, whilst the Rossoneri remain an interested party. Albeit with less urgency to make a move.
The report relays information from Il Messaggero, stating he could cost as little as €15-20 million. Given he is only 24, it may be a price too good to overlook for the interested parties.
