CM: Milan try for Atletico Madrid defender but face mission to convince

AC Milan are trying to sign Nahuel Molina from Atletico Madrid but they have some work to do to convince the player.

Milan are expected to be one of the most active late movers in the current summer window, and one of the areas that they are looking to strengthen is the defensive department. Alex Jimenez’s imminent move to Bournemouth has created a gap at right-back that the management want to fill.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan are trying for Molina from Atlético Madrid, but the player is not convinced. The Rossoneri are looking for a right-sided defender and believe that he would be a suitable profile, though clearly they have some work to do.

Milan were actually linked with Molina back in 2021 when he apparently impressed Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara during a performance for Udinese. Not only that, but his name emerged as a potential counterpart a couple of months ago, when Atleti wanted Theo Hernandez.

Juventus have been linked with a move for the ex-Udinese man in recent weeks but have not managed to wrap things up, so we will see if a late assault from Milan managed to prove to be decisive.
