Mike Maignan’s agent has been present in Italy to meet with the AC Milan management over his client’s renewal, with new information emerging.
Not for the first time this season, Maignan was decisive again on Thursday night against Como as he made several top drawer saves. The Rossoneri management are also expressing great optimism about obtaining his renewal too, according to Calciomercato.com.
Meeting in Milan
On Saturday, Milan met with Jonathan Kebe, Maignan’s representative. The meeting was crucial in finalising the terms of the new contract that the French goalkeeper is just waiting to sign: €5m a year until 2031, plus bonuses for a maximum of €2m.
It’s not the right time for handshakes yet, but it’s not that far off either. Maignan has accepted the club’s offer and is now awaiting a meeting between his agents and Giorgio Furlani.

The first point clarified at the meeting was that there will be no release clause in Maignan’s new contract, which will be a long-term renewal with a firm understanding of the objectives to be achieved.
The final issue to be resolved is the commissions requested by the former Lille player’s agent: the recent meeting did not lead to a full agreement. The parties will meet again soon, perhaps within a few days.
