Luka Modric has been one of the best signings of the summer, and AC Milan were the ones to profit from his exit from Real Madrid.
A lot was said about Modric and whether he would be a hit or a miss for Milan. After all, many had doubts about whether he could consistently churn out solid performances. However, within the first few games, those questions were answered.
The bar had been raised and Modric has flown. In fact, the Croatian, alongside Adrien Rabiot, may even have changed the way in which RedBird consider doing business. Looking more at experience rather than potential.
Robert Lewandowski is the biggest ‘maybe’ linking to this idea, but he is not the only one.
A new midfielder
As Calciomercato.com writes, a move for Bernardo Silva could be made, with him almost destined to leave Manchester City in 2026. His contract is expiring, but he could also depart in January.
There are no indications yet about his future, but it is almost certain that he will leave England. A move to Barcelona could be on the cards, perhaps a move to Benfica or the Saudi Pro League. Maybe even a move to the Rossoneri.
Juventus join the interest, and whilst it would be complicated, it would not be impossible. In fact, it could be deemed a ‘Modric-style move’; arriving with a significant salary with the presentation of an exciting project.
