CM: Nkunku still deemed ‘not unsellable’ by Milan with price tag in mind – the details

1 week ago 30

Christopher Nkunku has found some form in recent weeks, and yet AC Milan still do not consider him unsellable.

After navigating the first three months with considerable difficulty adjusting to Serie A and some physical issues, Nkunku has come alive with four goals in the last 25 days: two against Hellas Verona, one against Fiorentina, and one against Como from a penalty.

These are positive signs from a striker who – until two years ago – was the top scorer in the Bundesliga and on the radar of elite clubs like Bayern Munich. The feeling from his latest match against Roma is that of a player not yet at 100% of his potential, both mentally and technically.

Still available

After seeing negotiations with Fenerbahce fall through, Nkunku reiterated publicly on DAZN his desire to stay with Milan. According to Calciomercato.com, Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare are satisfied with his form, but not enough permanently remove him from the market.

Milan are remaining vigilant in the market and ready to listen to any offers. The Frenchman is important to Milan, but not essential, especially with Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and potentially now Niclas Füllkrug ahead of him.

To clarify, the chances of Nkunku remaining at Milan for the rest of the season are higher today than those of him leaving. Yet, the mercato is unpredictable and can also produce some dramatic twists in the final days before the final whistle.

Fenerbahce appear to have given up, and it remains to be seen whether they’ll return in the coming hours. The Premier League has some clubs interested, and if they come forward with €35m or more, Milan will listen.
