This summer, there has been an increased focus on the midfield, with several new players arriving. Yet, AC Milan may not be done yet.
Considering that Milan lost Tijjani Reijnders in the summer, there is certainly a bit of worry about how the midfield would fare coming into this season. On paper, the area looks better than it did last year, if not beyond.
However, the first game of the season proved that there needs to be some work done. Whether it be personnel or management, the Rossoneri had a hole in the middle of the pitch in almost every aspect of the game.
Potential reunion
Giovanni Fabbian, per reports this morning, is a consideration. However, he would not be the only one. As, once again, it seems the Diavolo will make an attempt for Adrien Rabiot, though the charge may be led by Massimiliano Allegri.

During the mercato summit yesterday, the idea was discussed of another midfield arrival, which would see Yunus Musah depart. In this case, as Calciomercato.com writes, Rabiot could be the one to arrive, considering his situation in France.
The Frenchman’s name is ‘gaining traction’ from the management, and partnered with Allegri’s desire to reunite, it could become more than an idea. Though Inter and Juventus are also viewing his situation carefully.
