There has been a lot said about Christopher Nkunku and his future at AC Milan, but for the club, it may be less forensic.
Since he arrived in the summer, Nkunku has struggled to make an impact, and that is impossible to deny. The Frenchman arrived for a big fee, and yet the return on investment thus far has been little to none.
In fact, one goal in the Coppa Italia is massively underwhelming, and for €35 million, many would demand more, especially with other options available on the mercato.
Nkunku headed for the door
This morning, it was reported that Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are interested in the forward, and whilst some have suggested that he may not be for sale, that has been opposed by Calciomercato.com.
There could be several reasons why he could be back available, but for the Rossoneri, it seems it is much less emotional.

Put simply, he is an economic burden, one which can be considered ‘a problem’ at this moment. So, he will be available for purchase, but only at the right price. Milan want to get back the money spent only six months ago, which may be fairly challenging.
Either way, it seems that he may already be past the point of no return…
