CM: ‘Urgently needed’ – Cremonese defeat further highlights Allegri’s demands

On Saturday night, AC Milan were beaten by a rather poor Cremonese side. There are a few reasons why, but there was one key area of issue.

Fault can be found in several places from Saturday. In a game like that, it is a given. However, Milan did not look like the new team which they did during the summer. Instead, it was a continuation of last season’s errors.

With the Serie A season starting again, there was a hope that the Rossoneri could get back to where they should be. Yet, the same faults found in the team for the past 12 months showed true once again. Defensively, there was no clarity, really. However, this was not the biggest fault.

One man needed

Instead, that goes further up the pitch. Santiago Gimenez had a few half-chances, whilst Christian Pulisic was invisible during most of the game. As Calciomercato.com write this morning, the team clearly missed a top-level striker, which Massimiliano Allegri has been asking for.

After Cremonese’s second goal, only Samuele Chukwueze was present on the bench to bring an impact. In itself, this is not good enough, though there is the caveat of the injured Rafael Leao.

Victor Boniface and Conrad Harder are both questioned ahead of their possible moves. So the report leads to one man, Dusan Vlahovic, where talks have been continued since last night.
