CM: Vlahovic willing to cut salary in half to reunite with Allegri at Milan

Dusan Vlahovic is willing to reduce his salary significantly in order to get a move to AC Milan this summer, with Max Allegri keen on a reunion.

In the latest meetings with the sporting director Igli Tare, Allegri has made it clear that Milan need a striker before the window closes. An agreement is seemingly close for Sporting Lisbon’s Conrad Harder, but as things stand, nothing has been completed yet.

As such, the Vlahovic option remains alive and it’s the one that Allegri would prefer. Not just because they have worked together before, but also because the Serbian is very experienced and would add immediate quality to the team.

Vlahovic takes first step

According to Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic has made it clear that a salary decrease isn’t a problem to join Milan. Indeed, he would accept a salary of €6m plus bouses per year spread across four years, with the total (including bonus) potentially reaching €7.5m per year.

The fixed base, i.e. €6m, is half of what he currently earns at Juventus. That being said, Milan also need to decide what to do, as they haven’t made any concrete attempts for the striker just yet. Juventus, for their part, would accept a figure lower than the initial €20m request.

The Bianconeri are looking to sign Randal Kolo Muani and the sale of Vlahovic would help them close the deal, so there is some urgency involved.
