Cohen: Vlahovic at Milan possible with Allegri’s will – how Ibrahimovic is helping

For the second time this summer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be decisive for AC Milan, and it could be the biggest move yet. 

Last season, there were regular criticisms directed towards Ibrahimovic and his role at Milan. Largely because it was unclear, though a lot was. Rather than having one role, it seemed the Swede did everything, and in turn, did nothing.

A face to the media, a target in his own words, seemed to be the most prominent role. However, he also aided with negotiations and challenged the management when making decisions. In other words, there is still no idea what he really did.

Ibra’s assist

This summer, he has been more in the background, like a lot of the management, for that matter, which he said he wished to be. However, he has still been working, and reports stated that he had been ‘crucial’ to the move for Ardon Jashari.

Now, he could play the same role with Dusan Vlahovic. As Luca Cohen reports, the track to the Serbian is ‘still alive’ thanks to the wishes of Massimiliano Allegri, which brings up questions, indeed. Nevertheless, the track may be helped by Ibra.

According to the journalist, the legendary striker has spoken directly to Vlahovic to ‘understand’ his situation. A difficult idea, indeed. But it may not be impossible.
