Liverpool is not in Premier League action for another eight days, with the Reds taking on Nottingham Forest at Anfield when club soccer returns.
Meanwhile, the final round of World Cup qualifiers are taking place this week with several of Arne Slot's players hoping to seal their place in the US, Canada and Mexico for next summer. Earlier in the day, Alexis Mac Allister played for Argentina in a 2-0 friendly win over Angola.
Here is how the other Liverpool stars in action got on in World Cup qualifying all around Europe after Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez won on Thursday with Hungary, and Hugo Ekitike scored a great goal for France.
Florian Wirtz (Germany)
Playing as a No. 10 with Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane either side of him and Nick Woltemade up front, Florian Wirtz helped Germany to a comfortable win against Luxembourg in the end.
In the first half, Germany struggled to create anything. However, after the break, Woltemade netted a brace, with Sane setting up his first and then Ridle Baku assisting his second.
Slovakia, as we will come to, won late on against Northern Ireland. That means that when it plays Germany on Monday, anything other than a win for Slovakia will ensure Wirtz and co are heading to the World Cup without the need for a play-off.
Germany and Slovakia are currently level on 12 points each. However, Wirtz's side has a goal difference of three better.
Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch (Netherlands)
Liverpool trio Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch all started for the Netherlands as it drew 1-1 against Poland. Jeremie Frimpong, of course, is currently sidelined with an injury.
Jakub Kaminski opened the scoring when he was set up by Robert Lewandowski in the first half, and then Memphis Depay leveled shortly after the second half began.
But the Netherlands couldn't find a way to score again. The three Liverpool stars who featured played almost the whole match, with Gravenberch withdrawn on 89 minutes.
The Netherlands will host Lithuania on Monday. Anything other than a defeat will ensure it tops the group and heads to the World Cup. It will do so anyway if Poland fails to win in Malta.
Conor Bradley (Northern Ireland)
Captaining Northern Ireland, Conor Bradley almost helped his country keep a clean sheet away from home in Kosice. Had it drawn the game, it would have kept its hopes of qualifying for the World Cup alive.
In a cruel irony for Bradley, given his Liverpool side was made to pay for an incorrect offside call for a similar offense at Manchester City at the weekend, Slovakia saw a goal chalked off because Milan Skriniar was interfering with play.
However, a late goal from Tomas Bobcek made it 1-0 to the host before Dan Ballard was sent off. Northern Ireland will face Luxembourg on Monday but can no longer reach the World Cup no matter the result in that game or elsewhere.
