This week, AC Milan have reportedly made inquiries about a young Real Madrid starlet who has moved to Osasuna.
As much as Milan need to improve the first team, there also should be investments into the future of the team, and this is why the Rossoneri have watched some of Europe’s best talents in the youth leagues in recent years.
Doing this was how Alex Jimenez was found, and once again, it seems that the Diavolo had been watching Madrid, past their first team, where there are interests.
Missed out again
As Matteo Moretto reports, on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel, the club had sought information from Los Blancos about a talented winger. However, they missed the opportunity, as AllMilan.it relays.
“There’s a left winger who recently moved from Real Madrid to Osasuna. It’s Victor Munoz, born in 2000. He’s a very interesting young player that Osasuna made official a few days ago. They paid him €5 million fixed plus €1 million in bonuses, with a five-year contract.
“Real Madrid, however, maintains control of him. The background is that Milan tried to understand the terms of the deal and to inquire about the player because they considered him a major talent.
“The player chose Osasuna also primarily for a question of playing time, but Milan had inquired about this talent.”
Considering the proposal was similar to that of Jimenez and Nico Paz, it is likely that Milan did not want to have the Spanish giants bearing over them, watching the progression of a talent which they could get back on the cheap.
