Conterio: ‘Discussions continue’ over free transfer as Milan eye axis with Vlahovic’s agent

Dusan Vlahovic’s contract will expire in the summer and AC Milan believe that they can secure him on a free transfer, being on very good terms with the striker’s agent.

Milan have been monitoring Vlahovic’s situation for quite some time now, heavily linked with the player in the summer as well. Massimiliano Allegri is a big fan of the Serbian and given the expiring contract, there is an opening for the Rossoneri.

In recent days, reports have suggested that Milan are on very good terms with the player’s agent, Darko Ristic. This is because they have more or less completed the signing of the youngster Andrej Kostic, who is also a client of Ristic.

More than an idea

Today, further confirmations have arrived on the above, as Marco Conterio (of TuttoMercatWeb) is reporting that the parties are talking about it. Or rather, that the ‘discussions continue’ over a free transfer of Vlahovic in the summer.

The high salary could still be a hurdle, depending on how much the Serbian is asking for, so Milan cannot consider it a done deal by any means. Once we get closer to the summer, the striker will likely get more offers too, which could prompt him to increase his demands.

On the other hand, after a couple of rocky years with Juventus, Vlahovic might be tempted to reset his career and reunite with Allegri at Milan. He would also work closer to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been a big inspiration for him.
