Massimiliano Allegri wants to reunite with Dusan Vlahovic at AC Milan, and his asking price may be more accessible than other targets.
According to the latest from Corriere della Sera, the hunt for a striker is one that seems to unite all the clubs at the top end of Serie A. Everyone except Napoli that is, who have just agreed a deal worth €35m for Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese.
The Rossoneri are planning to sign a centre-forward who can compete with Santiago Gimenez. Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface is a name they like, but his €45m price tag is a stumbling block. The same goes for Nicolas Jackson, for whom Chelsea want €65m.
This is why the Vlahovic option remains open, even if it feels like the situation will drag on into August with all its complexities. One thing is certain: the Serbian, whom Allegri likes and would happily work with again, must halve his salary from €12m to €6m net per year to fit the Rossoneri’s parameters.

What Milan want
During his press conference to journalists at Casa Milan, Milan’s sporting director Tare confirmed that the club are looking for a striker who has almost the same physical and technical characteristics as Olivier Giroud.
“We are evaluating both in Italy and outside Italy: it is a question of characteristics and for our team’s game it is fundamental,” he said.
“He must be a player with completely different characteristics to those of Gimenez who is not a centre-forward like Giroud: we must be good at completing these two things together.”
