Corsera: Centrality for Maignan and Leao as Allegri outlines new Milan basics

The new AC Milan will be built by Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare. However, the star players also have a role to play.

There is a need to remodel after last season, and whilst the word reset has become quite heavily used, there can be questions about its usage. Of course, a little rework is needed, an eighth placed finish does not happen by chance.

Nevertheless, changes cannot be too extreme in a short period. Doing so only harms the club further and creates a bigger risk. So, Allegri will look to strengthen the foundations whilst making a few changes.

 Allegri’s Milan

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that his Rossoneri will be built on three motivations: order, responsibility and unity. Considering the year that the club had last season, this is very much a returning to the basics.

However, reports have also suggested that he wants his team to be determined and fun, proving that there is more to it than just monotonous leadership terms.

Then, there is the focus on the players. Mike Maignan and Rafael Leao will be the biggest references for the squad, and will be the big leaders. Both were mentioned heavily in his press conference, as well as during training itself. The foundations are there, Allegri just needs to implement everything else now.
