Lega Serie A are preparing to send a letter to FIFA hoping to rush through a decision regarding the proposal to play Milan-Como in Australia.
As a reminder in case you missed the news, the two clubs involved and the league are pushing to play the game in Perth, Western Australia. San Siro is unavailable during the period the match is scheduled so an alternative venue must be found, and one has been chosen half the world away.
Having progressed through the various layers of approval, there are two more green lights needed. The first is from the Asian Football Federation, who have apparently given their conditional approval. The final step is for FIFA to say yes, as world football’s governing body.
Ultimatum pending?
As Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report, the two teams are awaiting a final decision and hope it comes as soon as possible so they can begin planning logistically.

After receiving approval in recent weeks from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), UEFA, the Australian Football Association (AFBA), and the Asian Football Federation (AFBA), Lega Serie A will send a letter to FIFA today.
The goal is to receive a response by the end of the calendar year so they can organise the trip to Perth within a month, or change their plans to find another venue if they do not approve.
