AC Milan continue to go from strength to strength from a results standpoint, and praise has followed from the Italian media.
Milan continued their positive start to the season as they beat Napoli 2-1 at San Siro to end their unbeaten run and move to top of the table. Alexis Saelemaekers and Christian Pulisic each netted the first half, while Pervis Estupinan saw red and Kevin De Bruyne scored a penalty to halve the deficit.
Allegri’s stamp obvious
This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes: ‘Milan are growing in Allegri’s image: few frills and a lot of substance’.
The paper praises the Rossoneri’s victory against Napoli yesterday, which came after ‘a first half to rub your eyes and a second half of resistance and suffering with a man down’. Allegri’s team jumped into the match with courage, pace and desire, scoring first through Saelemaekers and then through Pulisic.

At the start of the second half, however, a double incident almost created a new match as Estupinan conceded a penalty, which also led to him being sent off. De Bruyne scored the spot kick to make it 2-1 too.
At that point, Napoli began to attack in search of an equaliser, while Milan on the other hand, consolidated and defended as a unit repelling all their opponents’ attacks. Thanks to this victory, the Rossoneri climb to the top of the table with 12 points, tied with Conte’s side and Gasperini’s Roma.
