Modric became Milan’s second signing of the summer yesterday when he signed a contract until 2026 with an option for an extra year. He follows Samuele Ricci, who joined from Torino to kick start the midfield rebuild following the sale of Tijjani Reijnders.

More specifically, Allegri is a firm believer that Milan need an example like Ibrahimovic, who rejoined the club in January 2020 and became a real reference figure for a young squad.
