Today could have been a big day for AC Milan, given that the game against Como was being discussed by UEFA. But they must wait.
It is nothing new for Milan to wait, and in another case involving San Siro, they are also left waiting. That regards a decision from the City about whether they themselves and Inter can buy the stadium, something which has been delayed already.
However, now the Rossoneri will be left waiting for a decision regarding its use in 2026.
Nothing from UEFA
In February, the two clubs are expected to travel to Perth for a Serie A game, with officialities underway. San Siro cannot be used due to the Olympics, so an alternative must be found. Logically, the Rossoneri are looking abroad, almost 15,000km away, again, logically.

Ezio Simonelli had previously stated that a decision from UEFA was expected today (the 11th of September), with him remaining ‘positive’ about the outcome. However, that decision will not arrive.
As Francesco Nasato relays from Corriere della Sera journalist Monica Colombo, the decision has been postponed. Though no reason why has been given, this does not help decipher if this is a move for or against the game being allowed abroad.
We shall have to see, but the Diavolo will be left waiting again.
