AC Milan are two days away from their first preseason friendly against Arsenal, and some team news has arrived.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, in Wednesday’s friendly against Arsenal, Massimiliano Allegri is expected to start with the centre-back pairing of Fikayo Tomori and Strahinja Pavlovic as seen in the first half against Milan Futuro.

Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw will also be given some playing time in the second half. New signing Samuele Ricci will start. Ruen Loftus-Cheek will compete for a spot with Youssouf Fofana in the right mezzala role. Mike Maignan’s condition remains to be assessed.

As a reminder, Christian Pulisic, Fofana and Alex Jimenez have travelled with the squad although they did not take part in Saturday morning’s friendly against Futuro due to various precautions.

Tommaso Pobega is absent from the tour given that he is about to join Bologna on a permanent basis for €8m. Emerson Royal has not yet trained with his teammates due to the after-effects of an injury and has been approached by Real Betis.

Yacine Adli, Devis Vasquez, and Ismael Bennacer are not in Singapore currently either, having not even been included in the first team’s training camp at Milanello.
