The 2025/26 season has now officially begun with AC Milan returning to Milanello for pre-season work under Massimiliano Allegri’s watch.

Officially, it has only been a few days since the end of the 2024/25 season, at least in terms of contracts and whatnot. However, the season has been done for a few months now, players have rested, and it is time to go again.

Of course, the next month and a half will not be intense every day; there will still be a bit of time for rest. However, Milan have work to do and Massimiliano Allegri is keen to ensure it is done.

Yesterday, then, was the first day of action, with everyone, barring a few exceptions, present for the Raduno. Matteo Gabbia arrived before Massimiliano Allegri, a positive sign given the Italian’s hopes for the defender.

Today, there will be another set of firsts, with another group expected for tests that took place yesterday for those who were present. Then, on Sunday evening, the group as a whole will come together, as Corriere dello Sport write, via MilanNews.

Samuele Ricci was keen to make a positive impression and showed up on the first day, despite only signing on Thursday. He took the chance to meet his teammates early, as well as engage in conversations with Igli Tare and his new coach.

Another early arrival was that of Malick Thiaw, who was scheduled to return today. Something which the management, and Allegri especially, have appreciated. In fact, it could be a chance to restart, given the rumours regarding his future.
