All eyes are on Rafael Leao as he continues his recovery at Milanello, with the hopes of being available on Sunday against Bologna.

On Tuesday, Leao worked separately as part of his rehabilitation program following a calf muscle injury sustained against Bari. The winger and Massimiliano Allegri’s staff have a shared goal: to be fit enough to play some part against Bologna.

Four crucial sessions

During the break, both Rafa Leao and Christopher Nkunku also used their off-days to work at Milanello: the former to recover from his injury, the latter to get back into condition as quickly as possible.

The last time Leao scored in the league in front of his home crowd in a league game was the match against Salernitana in May 2024, the last of the season in which Stefano Pioli, Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer said goodbye.

Last season, all eight of his Serie A goals came away from home. The mission, under Allegri, is to score more regularly, starting with a league goal at home for the first time in over 470 days
