From the game against Arsenal, there were several key points to take. However, the main one will be AC Milan’s future is in safe hands, literally.
Like last summer, it was no shock to see Lorenzo Torriani among the squad sent to Asia. After all, he is the third-choice for the club, though that was largely due to his performances last summer in America, where he impressed.
Against Arsenal, due to a fitness issue for Mike Maignan, the goalkeeper made a slight (quality) cameo, where he made five saves whilst also saving three penalties, showing, once again, what a quality keeper he is.
However, this has now caused a problem to develop.
Torriani’s immediate future
Torriani is clearly good enough to be given a chance at a starter. But, he will not be the preference against Mike Maignan, not yet anyways. Of course, there is the Futuro, but he has outgrown that level .

So, reports have linked him with a move to Lyon, where he could re-unite with Paulo Fonseca, who launched him last summer. The choice, as Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes, remains the Rossoneri’s to make, though, and there are two options, will he stay or go?
The future is ‘in his hands’, but it is not a Milanese future just yet. To achieve that, the decision needs to be made as to how that can be achieved. It will indeed be interesting to see the outcome.
