This morning, Emerson Royal’s AC Milan exit was confirmed and reports state that the funds will be invested this summer. 

There is a need to spend money in the team. After last season, fans demand it, but so does the table. If Milan are not careful, a gap could emerge and they could get left behind. However, the spending so far has shown that the Rossoneri have ambitions at the top.

Of course, there have been sacrifices made, but there have also been some smart business moves made. In fact, the sale of Emerson represents that, even if it represents poor business from last summer. Rather than holding on, the Diavolo were ruthless and sold him, with another idea in mind.

One in, one out

Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the €9 million received from Flamengo will be invested into the team, and more specifically, in his replacement. Instead of waiting around, the club plan to use the funds to improve their offer for Guela Doue.

The Strasbourg defender is the first choice for everyone, but there have been issues matching the price so far. Nevertheless, with money saved from the Theo Hernandez replacement operation, funds can be invested in a right-back.
