Santiago Gimenez is injured and Christopher Nkunku is struggling, so AC Milan are left with two goal scorers. More are needed, quite frankly.
Nkunku’s time is running out and it seems like he will only get a few more chances to impress Massimiliano Allegri, who never requested his arrival in the summer. The same can also be said for Gimenez, but he is a long way away, physically and also metaphorically.
Milan, then, are left needing other options, especially with their only two capable options struggling with injuries at a fairly regular rate.
The only one
Joshua Zirkzee has been mentioned, but it seems increasingly likely that Niclas Fullkrug is the player to arrive in Milano. As Corriere dello Sport write, due to his characteristics, and probably more importantly, low valuation, he is the ‘only option’.
The German, as MilanPress relays, is the only player of that ilk that would fit the bill in terms of requirements. Additionally, the Rossoneri do not have interest in making a major investment next month, as they did last season.
They believe that Fullkrug can return to his previous level in Serie A, and with an official offer sent today, it could be wrapped up fairly quickly.
