CorSport: Milan set Jashari deadline – final bid possible as Club Brugge risk mutiny

Ardon Jashari remains in a stand-off with Club Brugge while hoping to join AC Milan, but things might reach a conclusion very soon.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Jashari has been able to leave Brugge but not in the way that he would like: the midfielder was in Macedonia in the past few hours to celebrate his brother’s wedding.

Between this celebration and his continued refusal to play, the player will miss his third consecutive competitive match for the Belgians today. With the Rossoneri returning from their tour, a decision will be made in the next few days.

A crucial summit

The negotiations between Milan and Brugge are becoming (if they aren’t already) exhausting. For this reason, the Rossoneri – faced with a stubborn wall – deem it necessary to put a definitive deadline in place, by which to give up.

A meeting is scheduled in Milano on Monday between Giorgio Furlani, Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare. A decision will be made on how to proceed, without excluding the possibility of a final bid that feels like a crutch. If the door is closed again, the funds will be diverted.

Meanwhile, Jashari’s actions risk being ones that others are inspired by. Joel Ordonez – the Ecuadorian centre-back and another key player in their squad – has also recently declared that he no longer wants to play for Club Brugge and will remain out of the starting line-up so as not to preclude a move to Marseille.

The head coach didn’t take it well: “It’s not a smart move. But we have to solve the problems we have. Joel has been having problems with his hamstring for a while. And what’s more, he’s considering a transfer. The club has informed me.”

Returning to Jashari, many other negotiations depend on this one for Milan, who still have to secure a right-back and striker. Depending on the outcome of the deal for the Swiss, the available budget will also be restructured.
