Christopher Nkunku was pushed towards the door by AC Milan in January, but now, he could be the one doing the pushing.

It is an understandable position for the Rossoneri to have taken, too. Ultimately, a lot of money was spent on him, and there were several opportunities in January. However, no move inbound or outbound was made, despite it seeming likely that Jean-Philippe Mateta would sign.

Nkunku’s chance

As a result of this, there is now a forced faith in Nkunku. To some, he certainly was not the ideal striker to be leading the Diavolo into the second half of the season. However, that is the job that he finds himself tasked with.
