Adrien Rabiot was a deadline day addition for AC Milan, and he is expected to make his debut tonight against Bologna.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, Rabiot barely had time to arrive, meet his teammates, introduce himself and speak to everyone before he will take to the field for the first time in a red and black shirt.
During his press conference on Friday, the Frenchman said he was ready – both mentally and physically – to respond to any request and eventuality the coach might have. It is a coach that he knows well too, and Massimiliano Allegri was delighted to welcome him back.
In terms of being needed, that’s exactly what will happen. The paper carries the headline: “Rabiot is already ready for his debut.” The former Marseille player is expected to start alongside Luka Modric and Youssouf Fofana, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek instead playing behind lone striker Santiago Gimenez.
Allegri hopes that the midfield will win the game for his side, because there is a real shortage of options in attack. Rafael Leao is still out injured, while Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku are both not at 100% in terms of fitness. A goal, therefore, might be needed from Rabiot.
