After the departure of Theo Hernandez, AC Milan need at least one left-back to arrive this summer. Perhaps, they will look to Spain again.
Reports this morning suggested that Tommaso Pobega could be the Milan left-back at points during pre-season. If there was not a need to remind the Rossoneri that a new player is needed, that was a serious wake up call.
It has not been for a lack of trying. However, there has been no real progress to make a move, at least to a point where you have been left feeling positive. Maxim De Cuyper and Archie Brown have both been missed, so the focus turns elsewhere now.
Theo part 2?
Melvin Bard and Miguel Gutierrez have been the two names rising in recent days. However, Corriere dello Sport, this morning, reports that Fran Garcia could also be added. The Real Madrid left-back may be ready to leave Spain, and the Diavolo could look to act.
Of course, this is how the club acquired Theo Hernandez, though, the Frenchman was only 21 when he joined, Garcia is 25 now. Nevertheless, he could be a solid option, especially as he is likely to fall down the pecking order with Los Blancos.
Perhaps, the defence next season would have a Galatico background, with Alex Jimenez likely to start on the right, without reinforcements. We will have to see.
