AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has a couple of doubts to resolve regarding the team he will field against Bologna.
Having won three out of six league games to begin 2026, there is pressure on Milan to return to winning ways at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara, otherwise the risk of Inter running away with the title will grow drastically.
Double doubt
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), Milan resumed training a few days before the match against Bologna. Allegri has a couple of doubts that he wishes to resolve before the team depart on Tuesday.
Alexis Saelemaekers could once again start against a former team despite his fitness issues that were evident in the draw with Roma. He returned quickly from an adductor issue but didn’t look at his best in the capital and came off at half-time.
Strahinja Pavlovic will return to the starting line-up on the left, the paper says, while Koni De Winter and Fikayo Tomori are in a battle to start as the right-sided centre-backs.
Up front, the hope is to immediately return the key attacking duo of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic, but Niclas Füllkrug wants to prove to Allegri that he should get the nod.
