There was some uncertainty about whether the Curva Sud would be present for the derby against Inter, and now they have clarified their stance.
In case you missed the news during the week, several sources reported that an email was sent on Thursday which informed the Curva Sud leaders that – following new investigations – the ‘Sodalizio Rossonero’ banner is no longer authorised to enter the San Siro.
It threatens to turn things sour again between the ultras and the club/authorities, just a few games after they finally returned to chanting and displaying their banners in the Secondo Anello Blu. There was talk of a potential boycott of the derby, given the principled nature of the group.
The Curva Sud , in a statement released this morning, announced their decision regarding support for tonight’s derby against Inter, in light of recent developments.
“STRONGER THAN THOSE WHO WANT US DEAD
“This week we witnessed the latest episode of REPRESSION without justification that hit our Curva. But let’s proceed in order because it is necessary to explain point by point the maneuvers aimed at destroying one of the largest aggregative realities of our city.
“In fact, after the double Curva investigation that wanted to put on the same level completely different managements and episodes, an unprecedented witch hunt began aimed at erasing the Milanese Ultras movement.
• Ban on entry for the banners of the ultras groups that represented around 9,000 people. (Curva Sud Milano, Estremi Rimedi, Vecchia Maniera, Fossa dei Leoni, Brigate Rossonere)
• Ban on using the warehouse inside the stadium (of which we never had the keys!), where only the instruments of support such as drums, megaphones, poles etc. were kept.
• Dozens of “preventive Daspo” to people who had reports/convictions even non-definitive, for incidents that have nothing to do with the stadium and date back to 2020.
• Ban on pre-emption for home matches , with a direct channel for all AIMC members (Associazione Italiana Milan Club, which is an entity legally recognised at the prefectural level), resulting in the impossibility for clubs throughout Italy to organise buses.
• Ban on pre-emption for away matches, with a direct channel for all AIMC members, resulting in the division of the fan base into different sectors or, even worse, as happened in Parma, with the most loyal fans forced to stay at home due to a sales method that does not include meritocracy.
• Ban on pre-emption with confirmation of the seat from previous years for 2° Blu season ticket holders registered with AIMC , with the risk of being left without a season ticket for the current season.
• Ban on name changes, active only in the Curva Sud, while in the rest of the stadium touts continue to proliferate without problems.
• Black-List with ban on access to the 2° Blu for the main exponents of the Curva Sud (including wives and children), to prevent them from frequenting the Curva as has been happening for decades (a ban that for some has been extended to the entire stadium), based on specious reasons such as having protested against the club or having participated in a civil manner in authorised demonstrations.
• Authorisation for new banners only to see them denied a month later.

“This last point is incredible, not to mention shameful, because before producing the new material and spending thousands of euros (self-financed by the boys because no one ever paid US anything!), we asked AC Milan for formal authorisation on the matter, precisely to avoid subsequent discussions.
“Not only that, each group submitted more than one proposal, and for the main group, the proposal “SODALIZIO ROSSONERO” was approved at the Gos meeting on September 10th, with all the institutions present in full force, as per the email received from the club on September 26th, which effectively sanctioned the return of fans as early as the match against Napoli two days later.
“Today, after the blacklist affair, with the club once again silently complicit, someone strong in their position has placed this new veto on a name also used by other fan groups under the pretext that it could identify a criminal organisation, as well as the flags with skulls that fly in many stadiums but which in Milan have been blocked at the gates for months because they are considered a threat to public order.
“We’re tired of living our lives under duress, of always being at the mercy of some personality and the moon with which we wake up in the morning, and we certainly have no intention of spending our existence finding solutions for those who, it’s now clear to everyone, under the guise of a “clean-up” want to wipe out our movement built on unity and passion. We hope we never witness further inventions to achieve this goal.
“That said, we won’t give anyone the satisfaction of seeing us against each other, arguing among ourselves, Milan fans, about how to deal with yet another abuse that once again puts our passion to the test.
“We’re coming off a tough year, one we don’t wish on anyone, and this time too, we will react, even stronger than in the past . We’ll do it as a Group, as a Curva, as the united fans we’ve been for years: Ultras, AC Milan Club, and all those kids who will be in the 2nd Blue.
“At the derby in the Curva Sud, you will find the same gloom as at the beginning of the year, so no choreography, banners, or flags, because that’s what this club wanted for the umpteenth time, not even batting an eyelid on this occasion where there was a properly authorised banner.
“However, there will be a big difference from August, where we remained silent to raise awareness among the public and the club. Today we no longer have to explain anything to anyone because everyone is seeing what is happening.
“So tonight, the powerful voice of that black wall that some continue to chip away at but which resists will be raised loudly, because today we don’t feel like leaving the coach and the team alone, completely blameless in this affair, unlike a non-existent, immobile, and useless management.
“Since the announcement came like a bolt from the blue a few days ago, we’ve opted for this solution for today’s match, always in the best interests of AC Milan fans and the young people who frequent the Curva.
“In the meantime, we’ll pursue every possible avenue, wherever possible, to get our banners back where they belong, because a piece of cloth certainly can’t cause problems in a stadium…
“FORWARD TOGETHER, ALWAYS STRONG!”
