Over the past year, the Curva Sud and AC Milan have locked horns a few times, and the latest instalment has played out recently.
Last weekend, the group were informed that they would not be able to take banners into the game, and there was a possibility that the Curva would be empty for the Derby della Madonnina. A slim one, but a chance nonetheless.
Of course, this did not happen in the end, and the group got significant attention through their smart thinking. Instead of a physical banner, they made themselves the banner, using flashlights to perform a display.
Curva Sud voice frustrations
This would not have had to have been the case, though, if Milan had stepped in, as the group believes. Today, they posted a message on their Instagram story to voice frustrations towards the club – which has been fairly regularly recently – and it can be read below, transcribed by MilanPress.
“We have been waiting for exactly 6 days for an official response from AC Milan to the certified email we sent on Friday, in which we ask for the provision to be written down in black and white, stating the reasons for the ban on the new banner: “Sodalizio rossonero”.
“Not only has our management not said a word about this shameful affair, of which they are well aware, but today they are effectively denying us a right by not responding to a completely legitimate request.

“But on the other hand, we are accustomed to a society that only responds to what is convenient for it; just think that we are still waiting for responses to the appeals filed regarding the blacklist.
“In all of this, excluding the usual suspects who put their faces on the line, we have to thank the rest of the press who, apart from praising last Sunday’s brilliant choreography, are careful not to do their job by not reporting what has been happening for months.
“They are the same ones who champion freedom of the press and freedom of thought… “
