David Beckham was left in stitches after being pressed to rule out Gary Neville as Inter Miami's next manager.
The former England and Manchester United star is currently searching for a new head coach for the MLS outfit following the departure of former Liverpool star Javier Mascherano due to personal matters.
Beckham, 50, appeared on CBS Sports for its Champions League show and was questioned about the recruitment process. However, Reds icon Jamie Carragher opted for some mischief instead. During the exchange with Beckham, he asked: "I am going to put you on the spot. Can you just confirm, please, that Gary Neville will not be the next manager, will he?"

Fellow pundit Thierry Henry buried his face in his notes to hide his own amusement.
After regaining his composure, Beckham responded: "I can confirm that Gary Neville will not be the next manager," to which Carragher celebrated and said: "Yes, that'll do me."
Neville's only notable managerial stint came with Spanish club Valencia in 2015, though he was dismissed after fewer than four months in charge. He hasn't ventured back into management since.

Reflecting on the experience last year, Neville admitted: "Stick in your lane, stick to what you're good at.
"This idea that I thought I could have all the businesses, the media career and be a head coach was nonsense, absolute nonsense.
"I saw Ange Postecoglou's interview recently and it really hit home when he said, 'These guys are tired, they've been playing Thursday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday for the last four months.'
"At Valencia post-Christmas, I didn't have one midweek break for three months. It was awful. I lost my confidence, didn't want to turn up to press conferences.
"Six a week, the questions the same. 'When's this going to end?' All the things that I know you have to ask. It was brutal. I never ask for a manager to be sacked. It's the one job I think I stay clear of being wholly critical of."
While Beckham has confirmed that Neville won't be stepping into the role, he's made it clear the club won't rush into appointing Mascherano's successor. He added: "He [Mascherano] came off the back of last season by winning our first championship.
"He's an amazing person, a great coach, the players loved him, but obviously, these things happen in football clubs and we have to move on. We have to find a new coach at some point.
"But at the moment, we have to let things settle down. But, like I said, with owning a team, there are always challenges."
