Dejan Kulusevski has never expressed a desire to leave Tottenham even amid relegation woes

A new report has shed light on whether Tottenham Hotspur are open to cashing in on Dejan Kulusevski, who is attracting interest ahead of the summer.

The Swede is continuing to recover from a knee injury, which he suffered last May, and has thus been unable to help his Tottenham teammates in their bid to stay in the Premier League.

Spurs are expected to offload many of their highest earners in the summer if they get relegated, with experts making it clear that the Lilywhites would need to reduce their wage bill significantly if they go down.

Some pundits have tipped Kulusevski to be poached by a bigger club if Spurs do not stay in the top-flight, and a new report has shed light on the North London club’s stance.

AC Milan want Dejan Kulusevski but Tottenham have no plans to sell him

CalcioMercato have now claimed that the 25-year-old is still hoping to return before the end of Tottenham’s season, but his ultimate goal is to be ready for the World Cup.

The outlet claims names AC Milan as a potential contender for Kulusevski’s signature this summer, given the attacking midfielder’s exploits in the Serie A ahead of his move to N17.

However, they conclude that ‘his future is likely to be at Tottenham’ next season and assert that the Premier League side currently have no plans of offloading him at ‘such a critical point in his career’.

Roberto De Zerbi wants to keep Kulusevski even if Spurs get relegated

CalcioMercato also say that that despite the Lilywhites’ current predicament, the former Juventus man has never expressed a desire to leave the club.

It is explained that Kulusevski’s main focus at the moment is on returning to the pitch and getting back to performing consistently at the highest level.

While it is ‘not out of the question’ that things could change if Tottenham go down, the report asserts that Roberto De Zerbi would like to keep the player at the club even if the club are relegated to the Championship.
