Deschamps confirms Rabiot will sign for Milan on deadline day – “Found a way out”

If any further confirmation was required that AC Milan would sign Adrien Rabiot, it has just arrived, thanks to Didier Deschamps.

There has been a lot said about the possibility of Rabiot joining Milan this summer, but things only started to be pieced together in the dying embers of the summer. A breakdown in relations with Marseille opened the door to an exit, and the Rossoneri put their proverbial foot in there.

Fabrizio Romano reports that a deal has closed for €10 million, with the midfielder set to sign a multi-year deal to become a Rossonero. However, the official confirmation of the move is yet to arrive, but that does not seem to be a problem.

Deschamps confirms done deal

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the international break, Deschamps spoke about the future of Rabiot and the situation which has led to him joining the Rossoneri, as MilanNews relayed this evening.

“Adrien Rabiot will join us tonight. He supported the medical visits that will take some time to allow him to sign for Milan. Sometimes I don’t have all the information. I don’t interfere in what happens in the clubs between players, coaches and managers. The important thing is that there is an offer suitable for the player.

“What happened happened, and many people expressed themselves. I have nothing against the clubs; they run as they see fit. Adrien has found a way out. Even if it was not planned at the beginning of the preparation, this is the main thing.”
