Recent reports from various reliable sources have spoken of a change in stance from Maignan, who is now open to penning fresh terms and committing his future to the Rossoneri, with factors such as his relationship with the new coaches cited.
Commissions resolved
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the final meeting for Maignan’s contract renewal with Milan has been set for the next few days. The directors have scheduled a final summit with the French goalkeeper and his agent in which the final details will be ironed out.

The expiration date of the former Lille man’s new contract is yet to be determined. The options currently on the table are 2030 with an option for an extra year, or 2031 without an option.
The big news is that today – Thursday 22 January – the last obstacles for the agents’ commissions were practically resolved. Now, it seems as though we really are one step away from pen on paper.
