It seems like Alvaro Morata will head back to Italy this summer, but it will not be back to AC Milan, which initially seemed to be the case.

At the start of the summer, there were suggestions that Morata could return to Milan temporarily whilst a permanent exit was worked out for him, with reports suggesting that he was already ready to leave Galatasaray.

Then, there was a bit of a shock twist when it was suggested that the Rossoneri could take back the Spaniard, not for a while, but to aid the squad and link up with Massimiliano Allegri, just as he did with Juventus.

However, this will not be the case.

Morata to Como

The other Italian return was to link up with Cesc Fabregas, his former teammate, at Como. Since the idea was first born, it has only grown more prominent. Morata quickly gave his friend a yes, and the clubs have been negotiating since.

Initially, it seemed that Como would take over the loan, but Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the move will be permanent, with the striker sold at €10 million. Before then, though, the issues with Galatasaray must still be worked out.

Though there is hope. Di Marzio writes that things should be resolved shortly, and that would resolve the loan agreement between the two. Then, he would head straight to Como, without the Milanese pit-stop.
