Di Marzio: Milan considering Chelsea and Atletico Madrid defenders for late push

AC Milan will look to sign a central defender in the final days of the January mercato, with Massimiliano Allegri requesting more coverage. 

Throughout this season, the Milan defensive unit has been heavily praised. From last season to now, they have come on in leaps and bounds. However, there are still some issues with the compartment and the Rossoneri should fix them sooner rather than later.

In fact, the problem has been present since the summer at least, with Allegri keen to add more defensive cover. Right now, there are only four natural options for him, so another player is a must before the close of the mercato.

Milan eyeing two

Throughout January, and before it, the Diavolo have made attempts to sign another defender. Yet, there have been issues in some form at each stage. With the mercato coming to a close, they are making one final push, and Gianluca Di Marzio has reported on the current state of affairs.
