AC Milan have been watching Lorenzo Lucca for a while now, but the attacker has never been the priority. Now, that may change.

Going into this summer, it was probable that Milan would sign another striker. Now, it seems increasingly likely with Igli Tare expressing the club’s situation in his press conference. But the question remains about who.

Mateo Retegui, Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic are the three most prevalent names currently. However, there could still be a change on the list, with Lucca still lingering as an idea.

First contacts

Napoli, as things stand, are the leading party interested in the striker, and reports have stated as much. They are yet to secure a deal for him, though, which opens the door to others, perhaps the Rossoneri.

As Gianluca Di Marzio writes, Igli Tare is constantly looking to better the squad, and the next step after securing a midfielder is strengthening the front line. So, contacts have been made with Udinese about a possible deal.

At present, only the feasibility of a deal has been discussed, with there not being any concrete discussions. However, things could progress quickly if he is deemed to be an appropriate fit for Allegri’s team.
