Di Marzio: Milan reach verbal agreement with Harder – the final steps to make

This evening, a report has stated that Conrad Harder has a personal agreement to sign with AC Milan from Sporting Lisbon. 

The race for a striker, which may yet continue, could end tonight, with the signing of Harder looking increasingly likely. A deal was agreed in principle with Sporting last night, and since then, there has been another round of talks with the player’s agent.

What had to be solved, though, was the will of the player, who was unsure about a move to Milano. Though this was not an issue with the Rossoneri, rather, he had already given a lot of consideration to a move to Rennes.

Deal almost done

As Gianluca Di Marzio, via MilanPosts, reports tonight, the parties have now got a verbal agreement in place, with Harder accepting the proposal from Milan. Now, there will be a review of the written documents, and then plans can be created for travel, and then a medical.

A fee of around €24-25 million is being discussed up front, with a package of between €2-3m in add-ons likely. Considering the Rossoneri made Harder their plan A after the failure to sign Boniface, it is a good sign that they have got the business done.

However, there may be a lingering feeling that one more arrival could help.
