Bologna are in advanced negotiations with AC Milan to secure the return of Tommaso Pobega, according to a report.

Di Marzio claims that Bologna are closing in on the return of Pobega, who spent last season on loan there. After returning to Milan following the expiry of the loan, the midfielder is ready to continue his time with the Rossoblu.

Contacts between the two clubs have intensified in recent hours, and negotiations are at an advanced stage, with the goal of closing soon. The Milan academy graduate still has two years left on his contract with the Rossoneri, so work is underway to secure a permanent move.

Bologna are aiming to keep Pobega to provide continuity to their project, which will continue with Vincenzo Italiano as the head coach. The manager likes Pobega because of his physicality and ability to play multiple roles the midfield, as he did last season.

The conditions for a full agreement are already in place, and there is optimism on both sides. The deal between Milan and Bologna is nearing completion in the next few days, though no figures are mentioned in the report, but Nicolo Schira spoke of a loan with obligation worth €8-9m.
